The gala fundraister is a fun night out that includes a delicious catered dinner and dessert, specialty cocktails, and a silent and live auction with exclusive sign up parties available only to attendees. All funds raised support programs for our Wise Owls.

Q. How do table reservations work?
Table reservations go on sale Sunday, January 12. Reserving a table is the only way to guarantee you’ll be able to sit with your friends at the gala.

Q. What's the difference between a VIP Table and a Reserved Table?

Q. Can I sit with my friends if I’m not at a reserved table?
We cannot guarantee that you will be with your friends, but we’ll do our best to seat you at a table with other parents from your preferred grade level. Reserving a table is the only way to ensure you’ll sit with your friends at the gala.
Q. Do I need to buy a ticket in order to buy drink tickets?
No. The software we’re using, called SchoolAuction.net, allows you to register without a ticket so that you can buy drink tickets.
Q. When do individual tickets go on sale?
Individual tickets go on sale Friday, January 17 and cost $130 per person.
Q. What is the dress code for the Gala?
Dressy, cocktail attire is requested (but not mandatory). You get bonus points for dressing in theme for the Roaring 20’s (Art Deco / Great Gatsby)!
Q. What is the event timeline?
5:00 VIP arrival and 5:30 standard arrival, Cocktails and Mingling, Silent Auction, Dinner, Live Auction Program, Photo Booth and Dancing!
Q. Will food be provided at the Gala?
Yes. Your ticket includes passed appetizers, a buffet dinner and dessert.
We’re lucky to have Gunther’s Catering (owner, Steve Meyberg, is a long time supporter of Schallenberger who went to Schallenberger himself as well as his own children) providing the food.
Q. How does the bar work at the Gala?
When you buy tickets to the gala, you can also purchase drink tickets for $7 each or for $8 each at the door.
Beer, wine, champagne and standard well drinks cost one drink ticket each and specialty cocktails cost two drink tickets each.
Q. What are the Specialty Cocktail drinks?
We have three tasty Roaring 20’s offerings: The French 75 (lavender optional), The Sidecar and an Old-Fashioned.
Q. Should I be on time?
Yes. The big draw for arriving on time (besides the yummy cocktails and appetizers) is to sign up for the parties!
There is limited space in the sign-up parties that include: our super fun Annual Progressive Party, Murder Mystery Kentucky Derby Themed Dinner Party, Rintalan Crawfish Boil and more!
Q. What is the parking situation at the Gala location (The Terrace at Willow Glen)?
There is a parking lot next to the venue, but parking is limited. We highly encourage you to select a designated driver and carpool or use Uber or Lyft. Please drive responsibly.
Q. Do I need to bring cash to the Gala?
No, when you register online for the event you’ll be able to vault your credit card for the event.
Q. Can we bring our kid(s) to the Gala?
No, this is an adult only event.
Q. Will child care be provided so that we can attend the Gala?
No, we encourage you to book your babysitters, neighbors, grandparents or in-laws now!
Q. Will there be a live auction at the Gala?
We’re thrilled to have local Willow Glen resident, Dee Dee Kiesow, as our auctioneer for the evening. She’s a nationally recognized and helps make the evening extra fun. So, be prepared to bid on some amazing live auction items.
Q. Will there be a silent auction?
There will be a small in-person silent auction at the Gala.
Q. I’m not planning to go to the gala, can I still participate in the online silent auction?
Yes, through SchoolAuction.net you can donate money or items for the auction and bid in the online silent auction items.
