About SHSA

Who we are

The Schallenberger Home and School Association (SHSA) is our parent-teacher organization. We are a non-profit organization focused on supporting and enhancing the educational environment and enrichment programs available to Schallenber students and hosting community events that bring together Schallenberger families.

What we do

SHSA works closely with parents, teachers and school administration to understand priorities and raises approximately $200,000 each year to fund enrichment programs for students. This includes art and music programs, science, and positive climate experiences that are not funded by the San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD). We also provide funds for field trips and stipends for teachers to buy supplies for their classrooms.

We are governed by the SHSA bylaws and also follow the School Connected Organization (SCO) Guidelines from SJUSD.

Visit our resources page for more information on the budget plus meeting agendas and minutes.
