Volunteer Positions 2025-2026
Volunteers ensure that we can implement the programs we fund. Thank you to everyone who has committed to volunteering.
There are many positions still open! Please complete the Volunteer Interest Form to let us know where you’d like to help.
Most volunteer positions require you to be on campus so volunteers must be approved by San Jose Unified. If you’re a new or returning volunteer, please complete the SJUSD volunteer application.

| Art Vista Coordinator | Lindsay Molina |
| Art Vista Classroom Volunteer | Follow Art Vista curriculum, collect supplies and lead your child’s classroom in an Art Vista project. Commitment is once a month. |
| Fall Festival Chair | Manages the Fall Festival. Recruits and leads committee to plan and run the Fall Festival including coordinating with vendors and volunteers. |
| Family Fun Night Coordinator | Coordinate and plan family fun nights such as movie nights, dances, bingo, etc. Plan food and drinks for events. |

| Fifth Grade Promotion Coordinator | Third and fourth grade parents, pay it forward! Help plan the the promotion ceremony and celebrate our graduates! |
| Gala Chair | Katie Schaaf |
| Give-a-Hoot Coordinator | Coordinate set up and take down of the owl flock as needed based on Hoot orders. |
| Graphic Designer | Have a passion and talent for graphics? We’re looking for someone who can design banners, event logos and other items for Walk-a-thon, Spring Gala and other SHSA events. |
| Multicultural Week Coordinator | Develop and execute a plan to celebrate our families’ heritage and customs. In 2025 we hosted the first Multicultural Week and we’re looking for someone who can expand this program. |

| Project Cornerstone Classroom Volunteer | Share the program curriculum monthly in your child’s classroom and help them learn about anti-bullying and positive support. |
| Restaurant Night Coordinator | Theresa Ly |
| Social Coordinator | Plan community events for parents to get to know each other. |
| Teacher Appreciation Week Coordinator | Coordinate the annual Teacher Appreciation week, including brunch, gifts and volunteer sign ups. |
| TK and Kinder Welcome Coordinator | Set up three playdates during the summer for incoming TK and Kinder families. Help families become familiar with SHSA. |
| Walk-a-thon Co-Chair | Andrea Roselli Saenz Manages the Walk-a-Thon planning and committee. Includes vendor coordination, t-shirt design, fundraising, sponsor recruitment, volunteer recruitment, and participation incentives. |
| Yearbook Coordinator | Work with the front office, school picture vendor and teachers to create the yearbook for the academic year. This is a year-long project. |
