Members of the parent community can get involved in SHSA fundraising and program delivery in many ways. Cash donations are the fastest way to get the money where it’s needed most, but that is not the only way to help advance our cause. SHSA offers a few school perks for students that parents add funds for our enrichment programs. How appreciative will your sons and daughters be with a few extra free dress passes?
An easy way to help SHSA fundraising – without doing anything special – is through community give-back programs through retailers. Amazon Smile, eScrip and a few stores offer customers programs that contribute a percentage of their purchases to Schallenberger. It costs you nothing, and yet Schallenberger could be benefiting from your shopping during the normal course of your day buying groceries or sporting equipment. Make sure you are enrolled!

Purchase a brick for Meredith’s Garden
Meredith’s Corner on the Schallenberger campus was established as a memorial to Meredith Blanchard, a sixth-grade student at Schallenberger Elementary in the 1970’s. Meredith loved trees – most of the trees on campus were planted in her memory. She left a beautiful legacy at the school that we plan to nurture.
Meredith’s Corner was renovated to create an outdoor classroom for students and teachers to use and enjoy. Drought tolerant native plants serve as the foundation for a hummingbird garden, butterfly waystation, and interactive learning zones demonstrating the vital role nature plays in our lives.
To help raise funds to maintain Meredith’s Corner, we are offering a Buy-a-Brick campaign. Families are encouraged to purchase bricks with personalized laser engraved messages. Each brick is $100.

Donations
Financial contributions are the most straightforward way to fund SHSA programs, while gaining a valuable tax deduction. Merchandise and services for our Silent and Live Auctions fundraisers can be donated to help raise money. Businesses benefit from the increased visibility to their customers, while being recognized as a Schallenberger supporter helping to fund student enrichment programs. Parents can feel satisfied with helping their children gain more enrichment programming during the course of their school days.

Many people are not even aware that their employers offer charitable matching programs as an employee benefit. Make your donation go further by checking with your Human Resources department to see if they will match your donation to Schallenberger!
